• The story of Agile Wind Power began in 2010 with the company’s founding, following intensive development work and initial concept studies. Even before that, a vision had emerged for a new type of vertical-axis wind turbine that combines efficiency with environmental sustainability.

In the years that followed, prototypes were developed and extensive testing was conducted before the first megawatt-class turbine was commissioned in 2020. Today, Agile Wind Power represents a new generation of decentralized wind energy and is consistently driving further development forward.

Innovation is deeply rooted in Agile Wind Power’s DNA. Since its founding, the company has consistently pursued new approaches in wind energy technology and challenged existing concepts.

The focus is on continuous development, iterative testing, and the courage to break new ground. Setbacks are viewed as part of the progress. The close integration of development, testing, and application fosters a dynamic culture of innovation aimed at pushing technological boundaries and bringing sustainable solutions to market.

Agile Wind Power’s work is based on a strong network of specialized partners across the entire value chain. International sales partners support market development, while companies specializing in project planning, construction, and maintenance ensure on-site implementation. This is complemented by service partners for wind analysis and experienced agents.

Scientific partners such as the ZHAW in Winterthur and the OST in Rapperswil also play a central role; we have been collaborating with them for years on simulations, wind tunnel tests, and field trials.

This close collaboration enables the efficient further development and implementation of the technology.

The Agile Wind Power team currently consists of 17 employees from various fields of expertise. This diversity enables us to take a holistic approach to technical, economic, and operational issues.

The team takes a solution-oriented approach, contributes its own ideas, and consciously thinks beyond existing approaches. This leads to practical developments that are not only technologically sound but also stand up to the test of real-world use.
