Strategic milestones on the path to market readiness for Vertical Sky®
The path to a new energy technology is paved by innovation, strong partnerships, and proven results in real-world operations.
The development of Vertical Sky® is not only a technological success story but also a strategic one. International partners, institutional support, and verified performance data demonstrate the technology’s progress toward industrial application.
Key milestones in the development
The development of Vertical Sky® was supported from an early stage by key institutions and industry partners.
Funding programs from the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE), support from the Swiss Climate Foundation, and the involvement of EKZ and AUDI have played a decisive role in advancing the technology from the research phase toward market readiness.
These partners demonstrate their confidence in the technology and their shared commitment to enabling new solutions for a sustainable energy supply.

Alongside the strategic progress, the plant’s technological capabilities were also confirmed.
Vertical Sky®’s progress is evident in its proven performance in real-world operations.
Does a system take up a lot of space?
Vertical Sky® requires relatively little space and can be easily integrated into existing industrial sites.
Is wind energy accepted in industrial areas?
Its slow rotation, low noise levels, and unobtrusive design make it well-received by the surrounding community.
How is the system's performance verified?
Performance is validated through extensive testing and measurements under real-world operating conditions. This includes structured test programs, operational data analyses, and standardized procedures in preparation for future certification.
How advanced is Vertical Sky® technology today?
Vertical Sky® has been tested under real-world conditions through several stages of development. The insights gained from the full-scale prototypes and the current system have been systematically incorporated into further development and industrialization. The technology is now considered ready for the market, and formal certification is currently underway.
How quiet is the Vertical Sky® when in operation?
Noise emissions were verified through independent measurements. The results confirm that the system has a very low acoustic impact, making it particularly suitable for locations near industrial areas and residential neighborhoods. At the test facility – which operates at higher speeds – approximately 35 dB was measured at a distance of 25 meters.
Let’s shape the next phase together.
The next steps will focus on industrial implementation and the launch of the first commercial projects.
