Introduction
Agile Wind Power based in Dübendorf, is a company in the highly professional market environment of renewable energy generation that has developed pioneering products with innovative ideas and brought them to market maturity in field tests and scientifically supported test phases.
The idea of generating energy from wind power may not be new, but the technological approach invented by Agile Wind Power definitely is! Its solution is not a wind turbine with a horizontal axis of rotation – but a wind turbine with a vertical axis of rotation that can be scaled to large dimensions. Furthermore, wind turbine systems can be transported and erected more economically and integrated more ecologically into the landscape, making new locations possible that remain closed to conventional wind turbines.
Vertical Sky® A40 – the world’s first 1MW vertical axis wind turbine measures 133m from the ground and meets the strict requirements of the international certification for large wind turbines (IEC 61400). In series production, it has a comparable efficiency to modern, conventional turbines and is particularly suitable for decentralized electricity production.
The company will grow in terms of personnel as part of a solution adapted to the current and long-term needs of the company.
Your mission
As part of a professional team of engineers from various disciplines, you will help develop the control technology for a large wind turbine with a diameter of 40m and a height of 133m. In other words, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills to a unique project and work on solutions in the field of electrical engineering and information technology components.
You will be responsible for planning the control system and designing the circuit diagrams and layout. You will manage the component design and programming of (PLC) and process control systems (visualization system). Last but not least, you will be responsible for commissioning the control system. Which requires occasional assignments abroad.
Your professional biography
You have successfully completed a technical college or university degree, ideally in electrical engineering and/or mechatronics, and are familiar with inverter-controlled systems and/or electrical drive technology. You are a person with expertise in control engineering, power electronics, analog and digital signal processing and the creation of schematics for low-voltage systems. You also have the following user knowledge: programming PLC controls (Beckhoff, Siemens) and process control systems, parameterization of servo drives.
In addition to your technical strengths, a strong team spirit is just as important to us as a high level of implementation competence. You enjoy working in your specialist field of control technology: i.e. you rely on your technical qualifications, but also listen to your gut feeling and, just like your future colleagues, you are a fan of wind energy or want to become one – or already are? Then you will fit perfectly into the team. Good German and English skills round off your profile.
As both the company and the team are set to grow, we are looking for a person who would like to take on specialist management tasks in the near future – more on this in a personal interview.
Offering
This role offers you the opportunity to help shape and influence future challenges. Space for personal development and creative freedom is guaranteed in this company with its open and uncomplicated working atmosphere. The company has a flat hierarchy with short decision-making paths.
We will provide you with detailed information about the role, the company and the strategy of Agile Wind Power during an initial interview.
