The blade pair: An update from the construction site
Many thunderstorms and bad weather conditions prevented the positioning of the first rotor blade of the 100-meter high Verical Sky® wind turbine. Last week, the last critical step in the assembly of the turbine, which is the attachment of a rotor blade, went successfully. This was a break-through towards the completion of our prototype. The remaining rotor blades will follow suit.
The blades lay on the test field ready for assembly.
Lift and adjust – higher and higher!
It fits as designed. The blade sections are successfully connected to the rotor arm.
Finished! The Verical Sky ® with its first complete rotor blade, mounted at a height of 78 meters!
The next rotor blade pitch control assembly is ready for the two sections of the second blade.
