Image: Visualization of the demonstrator. The pilot turbines that Agile Wind Power is developing have a hub height of around 100 meters. This smaller turbine is used to test operational management.
Parallel to the completion of the first commercial wind turbines, a 23-metre-high research turbine is to be installed near the Swiss Agile Wind Power site.
The purpose of this turbine is to test the revised turbine control system under real conditions and in various situations before it is used on the commercial 1 MW turbine.
This procedure is important as it allows critical operating situations to be provoked and the response of the control system to be precisely adjusted in all operating states.
