The Cleanpower trade show is one of the most important events in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on utility scale generation and distribution solutions.

On December 7 and 8, 2021, policy makers, industry experts and industry representatives gathered in Salt Lake City (USA) to network, discuss new momentum and showcase innovations in the renewable energy sector.

Chris Stewart, Senior Business Development Manager with Agile Wind Power, was also on site to get an idea of developments, the state of the US market, who was exhibiting, and to see if, like in Europe, the trend was toward own generation.

His conclusion: “In several face-to-face exchanges with key players in the field of power generation, distribution and services, it became apparent that the need for a technology which has a reduced local impact via noise and is safer for wildlife is in great demand.  High-net energy users want to take control of their power supply.  Asset operators and owners are looking for ways to increase their value proposition, offer better solutions suited to distributed on-site generation, and see the Vertical Sky turbine as an ideal breakthrough technology for the market.  We are very excited about our prospects in the US and North America.”

As to the long journey, Mr. Stewart replied, “There is no substitute for going to a market and meeting the innovators and potential channel partners face-to-face.”
