Our construction team needs just three weeks to complete the shell phase 1. The "concrete feet" of the Vertical Sky® certification turbine must stand well and safely. That is why a concrete foundation slab is one of the first goals.
If you visit the construction site, here and there you will notice wide white rolls lying along the mounds. Rolled out, they are the first stabilizing layer on the ground. On this cushion layer follows the clean layer.
This refers to a thin layer of concrete that is drawn in between the pit floor and the building foundation. It ensures that all further work takes place on a flat and clean surface. If the reinforcements are used in a later step, none of the iron bars may press through the ground, causing a misalignment.
At the same time the truck arrives with the formwork elements. The gray plates are needed to form the pedestals.
The formwork elements shape the casting mold for the concrete. Mostly they are used again after the pour. In the sockets of the Vertical Sky® turbine, lost formwork is installed, which means that they remain in the base. The second phase of the shell construction has long begun. The foundation plate is concreted and allowed to cure for seven days.
Delivery of the reinforcement.
Piece by piece, the steel parts in the future base casting mold are put together to form a framework.
Finished!
